Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) Yojana Introduction-
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the project of “Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT)” on April 29, 2015 to build 100 smart cities. By this scheme, by 2022, these cities will be utilizing the outlay of Rs. 50,000 crores to create smart cities.Hon’ble Prime Minister envisioned housing for All by 2022 when the Nation completes 75 years of its Independence. In order to achieve this objective, Central Government has launched a comprehensive mission “Housing for All by 2022”.
“Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation” The scheme was started with the focus of urban renewal projects. People with annual income of less than 5 lakhs are eligible for this scheme. As the prime objective of Atal Amrit Abhiyan scheme, the government will take necessary measures to for the development of the health of people by providing them with free and cashless medical treatments covering up to Rs. 2 lakhs every year. Its purpose is to establish infrastructure which can ensure adequate sewage network and water supply for urban changes. Under this plan, taking a special focus on the healthy and green environment, has resolved to convert 500 cities and towns into skilled urban living areas. Rajasthan is the first state in the country to present state annual work plan under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT). Apart from these, the scheme also aids six common and expensive diseases like kidney diseases, cancer, neurological conditions, Burns, Neo-natal diseases and cardiovascular diseases. The patient in need to medical treatment can be admitted in the hospital without any payment.Atal Amrit Abhiyan scheme comes with treatment coverage for the expenses like medicine, consultations, food, diagnostics and hospital.

Eligibility-
The eligibility criteria for this scheme is as follows:
- The individual should possess a ration card issued by the Government of Assam under the National Food Security Act.
- The individual who belong to the below poverty line (annual income less than Rs. 1.2 lakh) and an individual who belong to the above poverty line (annual income between Rs. 1.2 lakh and Rs. 5lakhs) are eligible.
- Families whose annual income is less Rs. 5 lakhs can apply.
- Government employees are not eligible to apply for this scheme.

- Birth Certificate if the applicant is less than 18 years of age
